Books from USA :)

So glad that finally, this "Whispers - A Collection of Short Works" book is safely on my hand, after quite a long waiting.. I am sooooo happy ! Thanks to my aunty Isje Kansil for helping me to get this book.

What's so special in this book?
Hmm.. maybe nothing special for others, but for me it is!
Because my name was written in the author lists, under word "S" Siahaan, Fiona (page 104).
Geezz !! so cool, huh ?!
The acknowledgment is important (uhuy), and it's not by local people, pals.. it's from US publisher.. hehehe..

And, what is it in the book? Okay, let's open it from the very beginning.. :)

The Cover shows blue sky picture with the green grass and a tree, and the color is exactly just like described (blue and green) with Title written:
Whispers, a Collection of Short Works. Greenspring Publishing.

On the first page: Whispers XXII, A collection of short works. Greenspring Publishing.
The second page: Copyright @2009 by Greenspring Publishing as a compilation.
Then what I like to read & agree with the statement on this 2nd page, I put it in bold - as written there:
"Each artist retains the rights to their individual poem. All poets in this anthology have confirmed their poems to be their own creative work. Greenspring Publishing not guarantee or assume responsibility for verifying the authorship of each work."

Then also, at the end of this page:
View expressed in the poetry of this anthology may not necessarily reflect to those of the editors and staff of GreenSpringPublishing.com and GreenSpring Publishing. All rights reserved. All production is done and all materials are made in the USA with pride. Copyright @2009 Greenspring Publishing 2833 Smith Ave Suite 153, Greenspring, MD 21209 888-235-8279

The third page contains the Senior Editor's words, Bernice Smith.. that said:
"Whispers XXII brings together many different poems from many different people in the hope of continuing a legacy started years ago. We hope you enjoy your own poetry as well as the poetry of others"
.

So, waddaya think then ? isn't it cool ?

When I opened the p.104, voila! there is my Poetry over there, under Tag "Inspiration/Courage"

Yes... this poet is so special.. I got this when I cannot express my feeling on something (or someone, huh) then I put it in words.. I uploaded it also to my FB but only for myself, the title is
"It's Heavening!"
(wink-wink)

How could that be a book? it's another story, couple months ago, while searching something to my blog, I found this interesting website that obviously collect poems, poets etc. but they do some selection to specific requirements before publishing the collections.
I felt so challenged, and wanna try this.. so I complete the registration & gave my personal data, and so on. It is only for US residents, so I ask permission to my aunt (US resident) if possible to use their postal address for this. After got an OK, then I finished & closed the site.

Weeks later, a letter came to my aunt's house saying that my poem was OK to publish .. then less than a month, the book was launched and got a message from my aunt that the package was arrived... yippiee... ! that's the story..

Again, thanks a bunch to my aunt & uncle of course (Om Tony & Tante Isje Kansil) in Maryland, USA for allowing me to have their address, for having troublesome, when entrusting deposit to Om Audey Sofjan to bring the book to Jakarta. I owe you for this, trust me !! Love you! GBU!

Ooopps, before I forgot ! also thanks for the arrangement another book, brought by Ibu Pendeta Pattypeilohy months before.

I once ordered this 'very wonderful book' a guidance, an important dictionary for my duty as a professional..
I used to have a very old version of this book (1st edition published on 1991) and glad when the newest version (7th edition, 2004) was on sale (disc.50%)!!
Again, with the help of my aunt I could get the book from the bookstore that only available in USA (www.personneldecision.com)

A truly good book teaches me better than to read it. I must soon lay it down, and commence living on its hint.... What I began by reading, I must finish by acting.
~Henry David Thoreau
