[A Tribute to Bunda Inong] Launching of book: "Cooking With Love"

I got the honour to promote this book through my blog.. "Cooking with Love - a tribute to Bunda Ïnong" . This book is a collection of recipees created by Bunda Inong, made by fuullll of love and care, founder of www.dapurbunda.com and also the dapurbunda mailing list that I joint with for since it established (about more than 5 years). She also loved to write her daily activities in her blog in http://zidansyifa.blogspot.com

She passed away about 2 years ago in Singapore for chronical asthma, and left her 2 lovely and smart kids Zidan (7) & Syifa (4), and also her humble family (her husband, parents and sister).

I myself have special memories about Inong, I have ordered 'panci isa' through arisan dapurbunda, and she delivered herself to my office at sudirman (around year 2002).

Then I ordered a birthday cake for abang William when we traveled to Singapore, and also brought her request (syrup marjan & tepung sagu tani) - it was on fasting month in Sept 2005 and I was 7 months pregnant my 2nd baby. Here's the article from her blog:

Just an ordinary wiken.. Pagi2 bangun tidur terus sibuk nyiapin kue pesanan Tante Fiona, janjian langsung diantar ke apt adiknya Tante Fiona di Bugis. Jadi Tante
Fiona datang dari Jakarta untuk ngejenguk adiknya yang baru melahirkan
minggu lalu. Dan blio nyempetin pesen kue Bunda lho. Bunda ketemu Tante
Fiona jam 12 siang, waaah rupanya Tante Fiona lagi perut enduut..
katanya 'dedek'nya perempuan. Aduuh senengnyaaa.. Oya, makasih ya Tante
udah bawain pesanan Bunda. Pssst.. Bunda minta bawain syrup Marjan untuk
bulan puasa nanti. OK deh, ini kuenya... Mudah2an suka ya Tante ....

Not much, but very impressive how we met at Bugis Junction, she with her stroller for Syifa, and abang with Mas Harris. And the cake itself... ofcourse so yummy... black forrest dapurbunda..

God loves her more, and through her inspiring poetries and so many stories, she remains in my memory. Rest in Peace dear Inong....

If I had my child to raise all over again

If I had my child to raise all over again,
I'd build self-esteem first, and the house later.
I'd finger-paint more, and point the finger less.
I would do less correcting and more connecting.
I'd take my eyes off my watch, and watch with my eyes.
I'd take more hikes and fly more kites.
I'd stop playing serious, and seriously play.
I would run through more fields and gaze at more stars.
I'd do more hugging and less tugging.

Kian's first trip..

Last long week-end, mom spent the Independence Day holiday with baby Kian and Pap.. we traveled to Pekanbaru. For a vacation?? Offcourse not.. it's for the sake of Pap's business... kind of legal matter, a deed to be signed at the bank.. so it's taking not too long, and mom can't bring bro'William & sis'Kylie together.. beside..they're so busy with ácara tujuhbelasan' anyway...

Here we go the pictures of our trip....

Kian in taxi, from Cinere to Airport Cengkareng, sleeping baby..

Just arrive at Bandara SSK (Sultan Syarif Kasim) Pekanbaru, still.. sleep all the time..

Kian in the hotel room, what a very sweet boy, found new atmosphere but no complaint..just looked around..

Lunch with pap's assistants at Apollo Resto,
they helped me to take care Kian when I met the Notary
tante Rodesia, tante Dewi, & tante Misleho (thank you gals.. very kind of you)

Goodbye for going back to Jakarta, pose in-front of Office Sudirman Indah
(Om Ridho, Om Ugan, tante Hesti, tante Dewi & tante Mis)

This is the 'project'of Sudirman Indah II Residences...
baby Kian with Tante Rode.. hehe.. tx a lot...

Overall about this trip.... Kian is a very nice little bundle, who just asked when he only need it... the rest... we had fun... The town itself, humid and smokey... but the people are nice .. tx guys..

And that's the wonderful thing about family travel: it provides you with experiences that will remain locked forever in the scar tissue of your mind. ~Dave Barry

Time runs so fast..

It's been 3 months of my maternal leave, and today is the last day of my 'at-home' season. I know it's the time for me to go back to my daily routine as a worker... sorry kids... but, I really enjoyed and fulfilled my 'long vacation' with valuable moments with my babies...

After Mom recovered for delivering baby Kian, Mom spends more times with abang William and kakak Kylie.. bring them to the malls, watched movies and just around for swimming or else.

Kung Fu Panda movie (abang saw it twice!!), Liburan Seru (only me and Kylie at Plaza Senayan), went to Ocean Park for swimming and playing and so on.. quite a fun and happy vacation.. yes, it was on school vacation, how lucky Mom..

When the school started again, it's already a new beginning for abang and kakak... Abang William is already in the first grade of elementary school and kakak Kylie is in Play Group now....

Mom was so proud to see abang very brave and cool for his first day at school... He said, Mom you can leave me now... (rasanya dada mau meledak dan bungah campuran bangga dan haru...). Achhh... you are still my little boy, sweetheart... He was running here and there at school playing with his Kindergarten friends..... I know that My Prince one day will be a very great person...

My little Angel.... hiihihi.. Kylie is in the real school now (last semester only for test and play).. She's still afraid with new environment, new friends and new teachers so on... I couldn't leave her even one second in the class, she's so dependent to me and sticked like a stamp. At the first place I felt so embarrassed and a bit angry to her.. what I know that she's more brave than anybody at her age... but what happened at this time ? So, practically for this 3 weeks since the first day school started I accompany her at school..

Indeed, it was a priceless time for me... never think that I could do that again because I am a working mom.. not even when Wiliam at the same age as Kylie.. I don't know yet for Kian...

So, about Kylie's class... there are 12 kids, 6 boys and 6 girls.. Kylie, Luna, Adnya, Zefanya, Angel and Shana. Then Marcel, Michael, Evan, Ferdi, Exel and Cahyo for the boys.. the last one I mentioned was the trouble-maker in the class, alwasy annoying others and irritate his friends...
During this time, so I make friends with their parents or grand-parents or even nanny....
And also these little new friends are my friends too.. they keep calling me like I also their teacher since I always help the teacher to distribute crayon or papers or so on...
Ferdi, my little friend, always show me his completed-by himself-puzzle, just to hear me to say Whoww.. you do a great things..! then he will smile proudly.... :))

Ahhhh... that's my little story... Hope I could meet my little friends next time in the class..

Ini ada 2 gaya Kylie di kelas, karena dingin kelasnya jadi pake jaket...

See you again my little friends... ! (my nickname: mommy kylie..) I love you kids !!
