Surprising Post Card Mail

It's been loong time ago since internet become my daily meals, I (almost) never step my foot in the post office anymore.. why? lah wong tinggal ketik ketik aja tuh surat dah nyampe kok.. But actually, sometimes I miss that kind of activities .. walking to the nearest post office, buying and selecting the stamps, and hoping that the person I send my mail will love it.. than waiting for the news that the mail was received.. wow, it's a different sensation..

Especially when I received this 'very nice post-card' from a friend of mine, Luigi that he sent from West Africa.. what a surprise ! Thank you dear.. even this one is not the first card from you, but I never mention how much I appreciate this..

Back to old school time.. about almost 30 years ago, I remember I already love this correspondences things. When I was 5-7 years old, I asked my mom to send a letter to my favourite actress, Melissa Gilbert, who was acting as Laura Ingals in 'Little House in the Prairies' tv serial.. the letter was in English offcourse.. and I was so happy when she sent me a postcard with ORIGINAL photograph of hers.

Then it goes like routinity to me, I regularly found another movie stars or actress or singers (terutama yang ada di TVRI doang lah yaw) or even writers because I loved readings too, some of them: Ms. Bionic Woman (I don't remember the real name, Lindsay Wagner?), Enyd Blyton (never respond me -huh-), Julius Sitanggang (hehehe.. I was his biggest fans I think) and also I never forget Hilman -the writer of Lupus character.. never missed the 'Jumpa Lupus' event.

I remember that I also had penpals from Netherlands, Canada, USA, etc.. where are they right now.. ugh.. missed that times (when my dad scolded me (marahin gua) since I spend my time a lot in writing letter than reading math or history books). Miss you pap.. Rest in peace..

Phewh, too much to write about all my correspondences story, I'll keep it for next time or you will get bored to read this.

Hope that this blog will awaking the giant in me to write more and more..

Thanks again ondel-ondel (what you named urself, Wait for my post-card .. :-)
